We used to Google it. All of it. Now we make exceptions. We find better images and reviews on Instagram.

For inspiration, we search on Instagram. Just by using hashtags we can find thousands of images from people who have been to places we want to visit or bought products we want to buy. Before buying a product, we check out their Instagram account to see who made it, who buys it and what people say about it. 

Instagram is growing, and you as a company must get on board with it.

So, what does this have to do with your website? Well, for a while now we know that social media is one of the biggest key factors in your everyday marketing. But now it seems, since Instagram is turning into the new search engine, your Instagram should be as efficient if not more efficient than your website. 

Off course you should still have a website. It’s still a source and important part of your business strategy. Your website gives your audience that overview of more information. However, on Instagram you are able to connect with your audience and what does that mean? That means you are building a relationship with your audience. As we know relationships are built on trust and trust drives revenue.

IDENTITY

What’s important is that your Instagram and Website have the same ‘feels’. Meaning, the same corporate colours, the same tone of voice (it’s okay if your website is a little bit more formal but not too much), same photography style and typography. You want your target audience to recognize you, and make a connection with you on all your platforms.

HIGHLIGHT YOUR PAGES

Now, the best way to organise your Instagram are your Highlights. Just like your website has pages, your Instagram has Highlights. You can have as many as you want, but the you should at least have the basics like the: About us, Products/Services and Review highlight.

GET THE MOST OUT OF INSTAGRAM

Tell your followers who your partners are, your reviews, show them what you have done, show them your portfolio, prizes and accomplishments. But most of all connect with them.
